S. E. BLAND believes the joy of creating lies within each of us. Painting is a healing process, she believes, and she is passionate about sharing her enjoyment with others.

Primarily a landscape artist, she enjoys travel to capture the beauty of America wherever she goes. From Alaska to the Gulf Coast of Florida, she has painted in watercolors, acrylic and oils, and invites you to spend some time in her galleries, seeing as she does the amazing colors of the sunrises and sunsets, the oceans and mountains in our land.

Offering classes to young and old alike, her studio is always full of laughter when her students come together to celebrate life.

The series I am calling "THE GIRLZ"

was conceived following a family reunion that held some emotions I had not expected.Returning with a heavy heart, I went to my studio and begin intuitively pushing paint around the surface. "AMAZING GRACE" emerged, and I realized the healing power of art. From that moment on, whenever I feel deeply, whether it be sadness or great joy, I find another of my "girlz" is born. They cannot be forced, they either appear or elude me, but when one does show up, I ask myself: "Now, where did THAT come from?"
