July in South Texas is hotter than forty hells!
I’m determined to stay cool, so I am painting a series called “cool waters”.
Every day I’ll do a watercolor based on water in some form. Rivers, lakes, oceans, even rain.
I’ll start with a fun filled rainy day on the plaza. Enjoy!
NOTE: All are watercolor, matted to fit a standard 16" x 20" frame.
During July only, each one is $50 (half price!) and shipping in the Continental U. S. is free)

Day 18

Yes, I missed a few of the 31 day challenge. Doctors, chores, life interfered.

"THE PERFECT DAY" - Available
In this life there are a few days that are not charged against you. This was one of those days as I painted alone along the Oregon Coast. I'll cherish this memory forever!

Day 21
This painting pretty accurately depicts the memory of a day when things went wrong. I remember my easel slowly sinking in the sand. My brushes, paints, everything got a good taste of the salty Pacific ocean. That's why I call this:

Day 22
 “AFTERGLOW”
Watercolor and gouache, available.
Recovering from breast cancer, I traveled with my husband to the Oregon coast a few years ago.
For a week we had mist and fog, but it cleared in our last day and left a golden glow. This was that memory.

Day 26
 "ROCKY LANDING"
Last year I led a group of eight women and one man on a trip back to Oregon. This painting caught me remembering the feel of salt spray as we stood on the coast.   Available.

Last Day
 "MAMA SUE'S KITCHEN"
We all have precious memories of a time long past. This one is full of wonderful symbols that members of my family will enjoy.
So, I will confess that this month I didn't quite make the goal of a painting a day, but I did learn a good deal.
Not for sale, but prints are available.
